KW House League Baseball is run by a team of dedicated volunteers.  The volunteers work independently and together to achieve the goals of the program.  The following volunteer opportunities are currently open.  If interested in learning more about any of these positions, please email info@kwhlb.ca.

Convenor (10 positions)

The role of the convenor is to serve as the primary contact and support for all coaches in their division and communicate successes and needs to the league.  Convenors are very organized and have strong communication skills.  Knowledge of baseball is an asset but not required. Commitment is approximately 5 hours per week from May to mid-July.

Fundraising and Sponsorship Lead (1 position)

The role of the Fundraising and Sponsorship Lead is to secure additional donation, fundraising or sponsorship funds to subsidize the cost of the program.  This role requires an individual who can identify optimal approaches to fundraising for the program, can represent the league to sponsoring companies and is a strong communicator.  Time commitment can vary but all funds are secured between January and March each year.

Coach and Player Development Lead (1 position)

The role of the Coach and Player Development Lead is to source and identify player and coach training needs for the program and give leadership to the baseball handbook and rules and the clear communication of those rules to convenors, umpires and coaches.  This role requires an individual who has a strong background in and understanding of baseball, is an excellent communicator and works well as part of a team.  Time commitment can vary but coach and player information sessions are in May and handbooks are finalized in March.
